Modernising your vehicle fleet with our VMS-trailers with real-time travel time

BAM Infra have invested a lot in its material in recent years. This includes three new full-colour VW 1700 S VMS-trailers, which are provided with real-time travel time based on Floating Car Data.

The NDW (national database for traffic data) has made Floating Car Data available for the complete Dutch road infrastructure since March 2017. The sources of this data are location data of on-board computers, smartphones and traffic fleet management systems.

This data makes it possible to precisely calculate average speeds and travel times. In order to use the travel time data of the VID (traffic data service) a connection has been made between the VID and Traffic Fleet.

These full-colour VW 1700 S VMS-trailers are delivered with the following specifications:

• 112 x 80 pixels Swarco LED display – 3G6 ECO
• LED lighting
• Foldable chevron panels to use the VMS-trailers as a warning trailer
• Eight deep-cycle batteries
• Five 200 Wp solar panels
• Four synthetic outrigger pads
